Sorry in advance, this is a very basic question.
What do you do about the endings of names like Rachel (f) , Luca (m) , Danny (m/f) in Polish? Do they stay as they are? I would be inclined not to decline any girls' names with masculine endings but am I getting that wrong? Names like Danny I'd decline like an adjective if it's a boy's name but leave it as it is if it's a girl's and I'm not sure what I'd do about Luca (give it feminine endings?)

This way or the other, depending on what the names themselves end with. If it's a 'Rachel', then you leave it as it is, same in every case. Same goes for feminine 'Danny', you got it right here. Luca is a special case because you quite don't know what to do with it: if you leave it, it'll look weird, if you inflect it adding a feminine '-e' ending, like 'Luce' in genitive, then it'll look as if the nominative was 'Luka'. (Good song by Suzanne Vega, by the way.) The latter option is still far better. The whole thing is really intuitive but obviously not for foreigners
