Most people would associate Black Forest Gateau with Germany. What's the most traditional Polish cake that people would instantly recognise as being Polish ? Or maybe there isn't one?

I'm not absolutely sure is it polish only- but try a cheese cake. We call it sernik. As I'm aware of- you don't have it in UK. It's made from white cheese (a little bit simmilar to cotage cheese) with eggs, butter, sugar, plenty of raisins (mniam)...
